SOMATIC PERSONAL TRAINING

*Releasing from built in habits that lead to repetitive stress injuries, overuse and traumas.

*The movements, explorations and exercises open up the choices for self-healing and self-pacing.

*Strength and endurance are built from within through the principles of effortlessness and experiential anatomy.

*Balance and agility are accessible, when we practice them from the dynamic, springy feet and lively body.

*Unfreezing suppleness and flexibility by the movement that is countered in opposition to maintain the strength and mobility in the whole body without loosing the elasticity of the fascial system.

*Expanding the mind to the consciousness of the self and the space around it relative to ourselves, others and objects.

*Psychophysical responses of rest, care, love, joy, and compassion can arise from somatic practice.

What to wear and what to bring:

Comfortable, non-restricting clothing.

Yoga mat (there are yoga mats in the studio as well).

What to expect:

Moving-With-Ease 5 stages:

1st stage PRESPINAL

2nd stage SPINAL WARM-UP

3rd stage CORE DYNAMICS

4th stage CENTERING SUPPLENESS

5th stage RESTING AND RESTORATION

STAGE 1 PRESPINAL:

Once the stage 1 is mastered, it can take 5 minutes.  With a simple test, the teacher will decide, if spending a longer time in the stage 1 is needed.  Stage 1 prespinal exercises are wonderful in themselves for relaxation and centering at any time and can be done for 30 minutes or longer.  It is very important to always begin with the stage 1 and move to the stage 2, only once movements in the stage 1 are performed with complete comfort and ease; otherwise the compensation will take place in the more complex spinal movements.

STAGE 2 SPINAL WARM-UP:

Once the stage 2 is mastered, it can take 10 minutes.  It is done after the stage 1 has been mastered.  The Spinal Warm-up movements is an excellent way to warm-up before any exercise routine, energize upon awakening or release the built-up holdings in the body before the bedtime.  All exercises have to be done in complete comfort and ease.

STAGE 3 CORE DYNAMICS:

Stage 3 exercises are done only once the prespinal and spinal stages have been mastered.  It is a dynamic combination of choice exercises to build agility, strength and balance from the central core.  All exercises have to be done with complete comfort and ease.

STAGE 4 CENTERING SUPPLENESS:

Stage 4 can be done right after stages 1 and 2 for more realignment and centering.  Depending on the personal needs, the time can be spent more on mobility (stage 4) or stability (stage 3).   All exercises have to be done in complete comfort and ease.

STAGE 5 RESTING AND RESTORATION:

The 5th stage can be done by itself at any time.  Resting is extremely important as it rebuilds all systems from the inside!  The lack of rest exerts the pressure, drying the fluid system of the body.  Going into stillness, meditation, cellular breathing and the expanding/contracting nature of the cells will relax, energize and hydrate the tissues.  The 5th stage practice stimulates the red blood production in the bone marrow, which produce oxygen that feeds all the tissues, including brain.

Possible experiences during or after the session:

*Wanting to sleep and rest as the body releases chemicals in the self-balancing processes.

*The movement and touch will move the fluids around and it is possible to experience a shift of the discomfort into a different area of the body as the healing begins to take place systemically.

*Experiencing emotional release.  Crying is a very healthy way to move the fluids in the body.

*Experiencing subtle energies in the central channel of the core.
